This study investigates the didactic potential of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools in project-based English for Specific Purposes (ESP) instruction, with the primary goal of fostering creative thinking competencies in undergraduate engineering students. Methods. A mixed-methods design was employed over one academic semester at Vinnytsia National Technical University. Eighty-four fourth-year engineering students were distributed between an experimental group (n = 42), which utilised generative AI platforms (ChatGPT, DALL·E, Canva AI, Tome, Gamma), and a control group (n = 42) engaged in equivalent project-based tasks without AI support. Creative thinking was assessed using adapted verbal tasks the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT), complemented by rubric-based project artefact evaluation, motivation surveys, and semi-structured interviews. Key results. The experimental group demonstrated significantly greater pre- to post-test gains in creative thinking scores (+9.4 points vs. +2.9 points; p < .001), as well as superior performance in lexical variety, structural coherence, and multimodal originality. Student motivation and willingness to communicate in English were markedly higher, with 81% of participants reporting heightened creative self-efficacy. Conclusions. Generative AI tools, when embedded within structured pedagogical frameworks, function as effective cognitive scaffolds rather than mere productivity aids, enhancing both creative output and language proficiency. However, critical digital literacy and explicit ethical instruction are essential preconditions for sustainable integration. The findings offer a replicable model for modernising ESP curricula in technical higher education, with particular relevance to wartime and post-war Ukrainian academic contexts.

The article reveals and analyzes the use of language code switching in modern English-language Native American prose texts by Lewis Erdrich, “The Last Report on the Miracles at Little No Horse”, “Love medicine”, and also defines the concept and types of language code switching. Code switching is the speaker’s transition in the process of speech communication from one language (dialect, style) to another depending on the conditions of communication within the same ethnic culture. A modern American writer of Native American origin, syncretized two “wonders of symbols and sounds” into one fascinating language – a combination of indigenous (Indian) and English languages, which structures her worldview. Code switching allows L. Erdrich to present her multicultural experience. Analysis of the novels The Last Report on the Miracles at Little No Horse and Love Medicine has shown that Lewis Erdrich uses Ojibwe and English to convey and support Ojibwe cultural beliefs in contemporary fiction. Erdrich uses a variety of code-switching strategies at the lexical and sentence levels, and provides contextual clues throughout the novel, including definitions, translations, examples, and repetition. She also includes untranslated Ojibwe words, phrases, and sentences to assert the value and relevance of the Ojibwe language. Through code-switching, the writer engages in linguistic negotiations; balancing the needs of indigenous peoples with the desires of the audience, using Type II and Type III code-switching. Erdrich switches codes in both narrative and dialogue, but in contextually appropriate settings; much of the Ojibwe language is in flashbacks, between Ojibwe characters. L. Erdrich's code-switching symbolizes her desire to learn and preserve the language, to integrate into the culture and share it with her audience, to become a cultural guide for outsiders. The perspective of our research is to investigate linguistic code-switching in Patricia Grace's novel "Potiki".; У статті виявлено та проаналізовано використання перемикання мовних кодів в сучасних англомовних амеріндіанських прозових текстах Льюіс Ердріч «The Last Report on the Miracles at Little No Horse», «Love medicine», а також визначено поняття та типи перемикання мовних кодів. Перемикання коду – це перехід мовця у процесі мовленнєвого спілкування з однієї мови (діалекту, стилю) на іншу залежно від умов спілкування в межах однієї етнічної культури. Сучасна американська письменниця індіанського походження, синкретизувала два «дива символів і звуків» в одну захопливу мову – власне поєднання корінної (індіанської) та англійської мов, яке структурує її світогляд. Перемикання кодів дозволяє Л. Ердріч представити свій мультикультурний досвід. Аналіз романів «The Last Report on the Miracles at Little No Horse» та «Love medicine» показав, що Льюіс Ердріч використовує мову Оджибве та англійську мови для передачі та підтримки культурних переконань Оджибве у сучасному художньому тексті. Л. Ердріч використовує різноманітні стратегії перемикання кодів на лексичному та реченнєвому рівнях, а також надає контекстуальні підказки в романі, включаючи визначення, переклади, приклади та повторення. Крім того, вона включає неперекладені слова, фрази та речення мови Оджибве, щоб ствердити цінність та актуальність мови Оджибве. За допомогою перемикання кодів письменниця бере участь у мовних переговорах; балансуючи потреби корінних народів з бажаннями аудиторії, вдаючись до перемикання кодів ІІ та III типу. Л. Ердріч перемикає коди як в оповіді, так і в діалозі, але в контекстуально відповідних умовах; значна частина мови Оджибве знаходиться у флешбеках, між персонажами Оджибве. Перемикання кодів Л. Ердріч символізує її бажання вивчити та зберегти мову, інтегруватися в культуру та поділитися нею зі своєю аудиторією, стати культурним дороговказом для стороніх. Перспективою нашого дослідження є дослідити перемикання мовних кодів в романі Патрісії Грейс «Potiki».

The work is devoted to the use of the laser light scattering method for studying particles of water and biological fluids in order to investigate the biological response of water transport crew members during prolonged use of drinking water on board. The aim of the study was to demonstrate the similarity of structural changes in water and urine clusters. The use of water with residual properties and structural features manifests itself and accumulates in the body`s biological fluids after exposure to a magnetic field. The degree of absorption and accumulation depends on the characteristics of the organism.
