Abstract

The layout schemes of modern articulated two-section tram cars are considered in terms of the number, type and placement of wheeled bogies and passenger doors. Based on the analysis of the dimensional parameters of the existing two-section tram cars and the regulated requirements for their maneuverability, the maximum allowable lengths of their bodies are determined by a graphical method, depending on the number of wheeled bogies and their placement.
