Abstract of the Disclosure&#13;
A device for reducing irrational-base codes to a mini-&#13;
mal form, comprising "n" identical functional cells whereof&#13;
each l-th cell incorporates a flip-flop with a count input&#13;
and an AND convolution element intended to evaluate the por-&#13;
sibility of performing the operation of convoluting the&#13;
(l-I)-th and (l-p-I)-th code digits to the l-th code digit.&#13;
One of the inputs of the AND convolution element is connect-&#13;
ed to an inverting output of the flip-flop whose direct out-&#13;
put serves as an information output of the l-th functional&#13;
cell; the flip-flop has its set, reset and count inputs con-&#13;
nected to an information input, a convolution set input and&#13;
an inversion signal input, respectively, of the l-th func-&#13;
tional cell, which latter input is connected to an informa-&#13;
tion output of the (l-I)-th functional cell. The remaining&#13;
inputs of the AND convolution element are a first convolution&#13;
signal input, a second convolution signal input and convo-&#13;
lution control input of the l-th functional cell. An output&#13;
of the AND convolution element is a convolution signal output&#13;
of the l-th funtional cell, which output is connected to a&#13;
first convolution signal input and a second convolution sign-&#13;
al input of the (l-I)-th and (l-p-I)-th functional cells.

<description>Converter for converting P-codes into analog values

The proposed converter comprises means for code permutation, meas for separating a difference between output signal levens, means for storing numbers of faulty positions, meams for selecting a type of permutation, and control means, which means when taken in a combination provide for determining numbers of faulty positions accurate to one bit position, and for correct conversion of a digital value into an analog eguivalent in a case of the presense of a certain number of faulty positions in the converter, said conversion being based upon the main relationships between the code bit position weights of a final golden proportion, and Fibonacci p-codes.
