Abstract

The area of ​​territory within which the statistical parameters of the distribution of the chemical element are significantly different from the geochemical background is called the geochemical anomaly. According to the National Center of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, now about 20% of the territory of Ukraine is contaminated with heavy metals. Soil contamination by these hazardous elements and their compounds leads to the formation of acidic or alkaline reaction of the soil environment, reduction of exchange capacity of cations, loss of nutrients, changes in density, porosity, reflectivity, to the development of erosion, deflation, to reduce the species composition of vegetation, its depression or total death.
