Abstract

The author explore the process of establishing and transformation of the idea- principle of freedom in the European political tradition. Focusing on the changes that occurred in the content of ideas of freedom owing world-view transformation from Medieval to Modern ages. Denoting that the genesis of the idea-principle of freedom from freedom-responsibility to freedom-law demonstrate to the presence of the very principle of freedom in political theory and practice.. That gives grounds to talk about the discussed about the constituent (fundamental) nature of this principle for political models of European tradition.
