Технічні засоби зменшення небалансів електричної енергії в умовах функціонування балансуючого ринку України

Abstract

The paper considers technical means of reducing electricity imbalances under the operation of the Ukrainian balancing market. It is shown that the efficiency of this market segment depends not only on price signals and imbalance settlement rules, but also on the availability of sufficient technical flexibility in the power system. The role of flexible generation, pumpedstorage power plants, energy storage systems, demand response, and renewable generation forecasting is analyzed. The need to distinguish between the functions of the balancing market and the ancillary services market is emphasized.
