Abstract

Computer simulation of forging is a relevant topic for research today, because it can be used to obtain the results of stress-strain state, structure, as well as to detect defects and predict the distribution of the metal. In the study of forging a cylinder with a through hole, modeling helps to predict the occurrence of defects, metal flow and the influence of forging parameters on the shape of the finished part. As a result of the study, the range of appropriate parameters of the workpiece was narrowed and the analysis of the volume distribution of the deformed metal was performed.
