Abstract

The training of an ecologist at the present stage is one of the most important tasks because the future of the people and society will largely depend on which specialists will be trained in our country. In the first year, when the student takes only the first steps to learn his specialty, you need to prepare him for the thorny professional development. In the process of studying the discipline \"Introduction to the profession\" the student must master the key concepts of ecology, well understand the difference between traditional (Haeckel) and modern ecology (neoecology), know the main milestones of ecological knowledge, get acquainted with modern trends in ecology, learn to be critical of different trends in modern environmental research, to know international organizations involved in environmental programs and the programs themselves. The student must be able to work with textbooks, have basic skills in writing scientific reports, abstracts, have a good knowledge of writing term papers and dissertations, know the structure of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine and regional environmental services, the tasks of any of its departments. to form the ability to make independent decisions on solving environmental problems and tasks.
