Abstract

The proposed device for checking the service life of a high-voltage air circuit breaker contains a current transducer, a compressed air pressure transducer, a commutation detector, a counter for recording the number of operations of the circuit breaker, analog-to-digital converters for the current transducer and pressure transducer, and a memory unit. The data on current through the contacts and compressed air pressure in the pneumatic system of the circuit breaker are stored in the memory unit and recorded at each operation of the circuit breaker. The counter is designed for recording, on the signals of the commutation detector, the number of the switching cycles of the circuit breaker.
