Abstract

In today's world, the problem of piracy and unauthorized use of content is particularly relevant, causing significant financial losses for music authors and audio rights holders. The illegal copying, distribution and use of audio content without the consent of the rights holders undermines the music industry and limits opportunities for young artists and producers. Traditional methods of protection, such as DRM (Digital Rights Management) and encryption, have their drawbacks and can be bypassed by attackers. This paper investigates the use of digital watermarks as an effective means of protecting audio files from piracy. Methods of covertly marking audio files that allow tracking their unauthorized distribution and identifying sources of leakage are considered. An approach to the implementation of digital watermarks using modern signal processing algorithms and analysis of their resistance to modifications using a programming language is proposed.
