Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of distance education. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that both Ukrainian and foreign educational institutions of different accreditation levels are forced to implement distance education as the only possible option because of the pandemic. The purpose of scientific research is to analyze learning models and develop an effective structural and functional model of a network course organization for group distance education, which meets the needs and corresponds to the realities of modern Ukrainian higher education. It is determined that distance learning is an innovative learning technology that is based on a special organization, interaction and requires a comprehensive approach. A model is a reflection of an object that mimics and reproduces its features, principles of organization, and functioning. Simulation helps to plan the whole process and predict the outcome. Models of distance learning used in higher education institutions are analyzed. An effective structural and functional model of the network course organization for group distance education is presented. It has 5 components: objective, conceptual, action, diagnostic-evaluational, social-emotional. The proposed model is described by the following features: effectiveness, which can be determined in the process of practical activities, monitoring, tests, using summative and formative assessment; versatility, which lays in the possibility of using the model in any institution of higher education; optimality involves the rational use of human, time, technical resources; flexibility allows adjust and adapt the learning model to specific conditions. It is determined that the effectiveness of the distance form of studying depends on the interest and involvement of all the participants in the learning process. It has been found that distance education is a promising form of learning organization that requires further research and analysis.
