Abstract

The article examines the current state of development of blended learning, its place and role in domestic and foreign higher education. Blended learning is seen as a way of increasing the efficiency of the learning process. It has been established that offline and online learning methods should be used in blended learning. The advantages of blended learning in contrast to traditional and distance forms are clarified: creation of conditions for high-quality learning, opportunities to solve problems with independence, activity, organization of students. The key principles of designing a blended learning system are identified. The main models of blended learning are highlighted.
