Abstract

This article provides a historical and architectural study of the current state of preservation of authentic features of that type of architectural monuments, such as the classic palace and park complexes of Vinnytsia region. Today, there are about 60 objects with varying degrees of preservation. Classic palace and park complexes among them are about twenty objects, which are an important part of the cultural heritage of our country, because the formation of the main architectural features corresponded to the European style, in accordance with regional characteristics. The main reasons for the decline and destruction of these objects of study at different time stages of belonging to the region are analyzed. The state of preservation of the classic palace and park complexes varies from completely destroyed to fully preserved. The original function of these objects was lost with the advent of the bilshovyk government, as one that did not correspond to the new ideology; therefore, most of the palaces were destroyed, the rest were adapted for administrative buildings, warehouses, etc. The main cases of loss of the original function of the classic palace and park complexes in the Vinnytsia region and operational features, due to significant transformational processes of the socio-political system and changes in the general social requirements of the population. It is noted that the specificity of this type of monuments, such as the classic palace and park complexes of Vinnytsia, is the endowment of palaces with the necessary modern function for the population.
