Abstract

The mathematical model of the \"forgetting curve\" generated by H. Ebbinghaus has been improved. The advanced model also takes into account the synergistic component that slows down the process of forgetting due to the internal workings of the brain at the interval in which new information does not come to this brain, suggested by B.I Mokin, and the component that sets the value of that part of initial information, which is never erased the memory of an individual, suggested by L.M. Prisnyakova. An algorithm for identification of the improved mathematical model of the Ebbinghaus curve has been developed and the reasons for the appearance of incorrect solutions in its application have been analyzed and the ways of overcoming this incorrectness have been indicated. The basis for substantiating the need to move the forgetting curve generated by H. Ebbinghaus when analyzing the processes of forgetting the initial information received by the student the lecturer to the forgetting bands generated by B.I Mokin and О. B Mokin has been expanded. Previously, this database was based only on the peculiarities of experimental data processing and the central Laplace limit theorem concerning probabilistic data subordinated to the normal law of distribution, but its extension was due to the need to overcome the incorrectness of solving a system of equations which are the base for an identification algorithm for the mathematic model of the forgetting curve. New boundaries of the forgetting bands have been constructed which, like the algorithm of their construction, proposed by B. I Mokin and O.B Mokin, use the three-sigma rule known the probability theory, but more adequately reflect these \"bands\" and release them areas the forgetting of information acquires the minus sign, which is not peculiar to this process.
