Анотація

The influence of pragmatic orientations on the development of scientific knowledge is considered. Some concepts of modern science development (science of mode 2, post-normal science, triple helix model - university, business, government, etc.) are analyzed, attention is paid to the possible risks associated with the further deepening of pragmatic trends. It is concluded that scientific research is designed to be used not only to achieve material values, but also the development of culture in general, to be the basis of the common good, "create an inclusive, fair and prosperous society" - K. Schwab. To do this, it is necessary to focus not only on pragmatic values, but also to pay attention to social and humanitarian issues, in particular in educational activities and in the training of scientific personnel.
