Abstract

Despite the fact that the importance of biodiesel as an alternative fuel has increased over the past twenty years, the chemical kinetics of the transesterification response, which is the most important issue in the production of biodiesel, remains controversial. Most studies are aimed at finding and developing the best model of the process and determining and justifying the order of the trans-esterification reaction. Therefore, determining the optimal model for biodiesel production is a very important issue.
