Prosuming Business Models in Transition to a Sustainable Bioeconomy

Abstract

Розроблення та впровадження інноваційних бізнес-моделей в енергетичному секторі та їх інтеграція у виробничі процеси промислового сектору для створення високопродуктивних і економічно ефективних виробничих потужностей є важливою передумовою успішної біоекономічної трансформації галузей та створення додаткової вартості й користі для споживача. Очікується, що така інтеграція призведе до позитивних змін у стратегічних секторах економіки, переважно пов’язаних з енергетичною безпекою, шляхом поступового зменшення залежності від викопного палива та пом’якшення екологічних проблем, таких як глобальне потепління, токсичні відходи та викиди. Перехід від традиційної економіки до біоекономіки потребує адаптації способу виробництва та споживання енергії. Впровадження моделей просьюмінгу в енергетиці допоможе докорінно змінити енергетичну систему, оскільки дає змогу знизити вартість електроенергії, що може слугувати економічним та екологічним стимулом для біоекономічної трансформації національної економіки, але, з іншого боку, може створити проблеми для традиційних виробників енергії та операторів електромереж. Мета цього дослідження — проаналізувати перспективи впровадження інноваційних бізнес-моделей в енергетиці, таких як просьюмінг, енергетична кооперація, системи зберігання «зеленої» енергії тощо, та їхній вплив на розвиток біоекономіки. Для досягнення мети проаналізовано динаміку змін і тенденції енергетичного ринку ЄС та їхній вплив на біоекономічні трансформації. Визначено основні проблеми й питання для широкого впровадження відновлюваних джерел енергії в Україні та досліджено інноваційні бізнес-моделі розвитку альтернативної енергетики в сучасних умовах. Розроблено динамічну модель біоекономічної трансформації галузей шляхом стимулювання енергетичних кооперативів власного споживання та на основі світового досвіду визначено основні напрями нормативно-правової та фінансової підтримки просьюмерства в Україні.The development and implementation of innovative business models in the energy sector and their integration into the production processes of the industrial sector for the creation of highly productive and cost-effective production facilities is an important prerequisite for the successful bio-economic transformation of industries and the creation of added value and benefit for the consumer. Such integration is expected to lead to positive developments in strategic sectors of the economy, mainly related to energy security, by gradually reducing dependence on fossil fuels and mitigating environmental problems such as global warming and toxic waste and emissions. The transition a traditional economy to a bioeconomy requires adapting the way of energy production and consumption. The introduction of energy prosuming models will help radically change the energy system, as it allows to reduce the cost of electricity, which can serve as an economic and environmental stimulus for the bio-economic transformation of the national economy, but on the other hand, it can create problems for traditional energy producers and power grid operators. The purpose of this study is to analyze the prospects for the introduction of innovative business models in energy, such as prosuming, energy cooperation, green energy storage systems, etc., and their impact on the development of the bioeconomy. To achieve the goal, an analysis of the dynamics of changes and trends in the EU energy market and their impact on bio-economic transformations was carried out. The main problems and issues for the widespread introduction of renewable energy sources in Ukraine were identified and innovative business models for the development of alternative energy in modern conditions were investigated. A dynamic model of the bio-economic transformation of industries by stimulating Self-Consumption Energy Cooperatives has been developed, and the main directions of regulatory and financial support for prosumerism in Ukraine have been determined based on world experience.
