The paper solves an urgent scientific and applied problem of ensuring the quality of
service (QoS) of the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) in an LTE/5G network. A traffic prioritization classification is proposed,
which includes four quality classes, allowing for priority processing of critical medical traffic and optimizing the use of network
resources. The considered solutions allow to provide the necessary QoS parameters for critical medical applications, such as
minimum latency and high reliability of data transmission, which is critical for healthcare systems.A comprehensive analysis of
the problems of quality of service (QoS) management for the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) in 5G networks is carried out.
The interaction of the 5G network with the IoMT network, as well as the features of improving QoS for medical devices and
applications are considered. Critical requirements for the quality of service for medical applications are identified, including
minimum latency, low jitter, high throughput, and maximum reliability. The challenges associated with servicing IoMT devices in
5G networks are analyzed, in particular, the high QoS requirements for the tactile Internet (TI). Ways to integrate IoMT devices
into a 5G network, taking into account the specific requirements of medical applications, are investigated. Methods for
preprocessing requests in the IoMT network before transmitting them to the 5G network are proposed to reduce the load on base
stations. The traffic classification by priorities, which includes four quality classes, is considered, which allows to effectively
manage network resources and provide the required level of QoS. The algorithms for dynamic resource and priority management
are investigated, which allow to ensure an adequate level of service even at high network load. The use of modern technologies
such as SDN and NFV for flexible management of network resources and adaptation to changing operating conditions. The study
confirmed the importance of traffic classification, dynamic resource management, and priority service to ensure high quality of
service for medical devices and applications in 5G networks.
