Abstract

In 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic has sparked exponential growth and research into various hybrid learning models driven by the response of educators (and others) to restrictive social distancing measures and lockdowns in educational institutions. The hybrid learning model, which combines learning partly at home (online) and partly in educational institutions (offline), has become a response to the needs for more flexible forms of learning, more accessible resources and continuous professional development in most fields of employment. This paper examines the main trends of the hybrid model of learning and its impact on the future of learning in a challenging environment and on a large time scale.
