dc.description.abstract	There has been made the analysis of international and national official documents in order to explain the ecological safety term. The precedence of ecological question consideration in the sustainable development process has been substan-tiated. There has been determined necessity for refocusing of ecological safety assessment indexes from human to other, more sensitive to anthropogenic influences, living organisms. It is proposed to consider the interests of ecosystems as a high priority in the planning and management of human economic activity.	en
