A priori ut cognitio pura. До передісторії одного вжитку поняття

Abstract

The paper explores the historical context of the «pure cognition a priori» concept which is basic concept of Kant’s «Critique of Pure Reason». Author shows that formulation of this concept was mainly due to the understanding and use of the term a priori, which prevailed in philosophy of XVIII century (Wolff, Baumgarten, Lambert, Hume, Leibniz) and remained essentially ambiguous. From the historical point of view Kant’s definition of this concept can be seen as an attempt to give the uniqueness of the term a priori.
