Abstract

The proposed angular speed transducer contains a disk light flux modulator with a slot, a light source installed ahead of the light flux modulator, two photodetectors with a linear characteristic, a diaphragm installed between the photodetectors, and an analog switching unit. The photodetectors are displaced from the modulator axis by 180 degrees. The diaphragm contains slots, each of which is made as a sector bounded by two beams emanated from the modulator center. The modulator slot is bounded by two curves that correspond to the following equations in the polar coordinate system which center coincides with the modulator center: ρ1(j) = R0, ρ2( j) = where j is an angular coordinate, R0 is a constant that constitutes a circle radius, and a is a constant that defines the maximal width of the slot. Additionally, the transducer contains analog comparator array and a control unit. The outputs of the analog comparator array are connected to the inputs of the control unit. The output of the control unit is connected to the address input of the analog switching unit. The signal inputs of the analog switching unit are connected to the outputs of the photodetectors. The output of the analog switching unit is connected to the first inputs of the analog comparators. The second inputs of the analog comparators are connected to reference voltage sources.
