Abstract

The proposed device for localizing batches of errors in BCH (n, k)-codes contains a code converter, a synchronization unit, a unit for forming an output error vector, and a unit for determining error batch parameters. The proposed device provides for the possibility to localize isolated error batches with a maximal length of z bits (z = n - 1), and, as the result, to detect error batches with higher frequency without increasing complexity of the hardware.
