Abstract

The ultimate goal of environmental risk assessment is to obtain indicative characteristics of probable types of environmental risks and indicative characteristics of the size of adverse changes that can occur in ecosystems when these risks are realized. Such assessments can only be preliminary, but they are quite effective for the analysis of data on the source of pollution and the drawing up of a general plan of action to reduce the adverse changes in the zones subject to its influence.
