Abstract

Analyzed are aspects of measuring the moisture content of milk powder using microwave methods to ensure optimal and efficient operation of the dryer. The proposed methods of moisture measurement are related to real-time measurement methods. The application of this method allows measuring moisture based on the attenuation of the signal reflected or absorbed by the sample. It has been shown that, compared to the contact method, non-contact moisture measurement has advantages, such as limitations on case materials, but there is a need for additional research on the dielectric properties of case materials.
