Філософія технологічної сингулярності: ідея чи математичний процес?

Abstract

У представленому доробку розглядається філософський вимір сингулярності та дискусійні питання впливу поглядів видатного винахідника і футуролога Рея Курцвейла на проблеми штучного інтелекту. Представлено проблему технологічної сингулярності – моменту, коли штучний інтелект перевершить людський, що призведе до неконтрольованого прискореного технологічного зростання. В роботі йдеться про те, що майбутнє вже тут, адже перспектива окреслюється 2045 роком. Акцент зроблено на тому, що сингулярність означає глибоку трансформацію, коли люди зіллються зі штучним інтелектом, експоненціально розширюючи людські можливості та потенційно вирішуючи ключові проблеми, як-от старіння та хвороби. Проаналізовано критику ідей Р. Курцвейла щодо недооцінки суспільних бар’єрів чи переоцінки беперервності експоненціального зростання. Увагу зосереджено на перевагах міркувань Рея Курцвейла відносно його точності в прогнозах технологічних трендів, підбито підсумки щодо цілісності його моделі. У роботі доводиться, що дослідження Курцвейла мають перспективу для обмірковування, про що свідчить незгасний інтерес до його ідей.The presented work examines the philosophical dimension of the singularity and debatable issues of the influence of the views of the outstanding inventor and futurologist Ray Kurzweil on the problems of artificial intelligence. The problem of the technological singularity – of the moment when artificial intelligence will surpass human intelligence, which will lead to uncontrolled accelerated technological growth, is presented. The work says that the future is already here, because the perspective is outlined in 2045 year. Emphasis is placed on the singularity meaning a profound transformation when humans merge with artificial intelligence, exponentially empowering humans and potentially addressing key issues like aging and disease. Criticism of Kurzweil's ideas is analyzed. Kurzweil regarding the underestimation of societal barriers or the overestimation of the continuity of exponential growth. The advantages of Ray Kurzweil's reasoning regarding his accuracy in forecasts of technological trends are analyzed, and the integrity of his model is summarized. The work proves that Kurzweil's research has a perspective for reflection, as evidenced by the undiminished interest in his ideas.
