Abstract

In the times of social instability and spiritual crisis the formation of the youth humanistic values has become an urgent educational problem. Being the interaction mechanisms between an individual and the society, these values motivate human activity; determine both the nature of relationships in the society and human behavior. The article deals with the students` humanistic value orientations in modern conditions. An attempt is made to analyze the characteristics of their formation. It defines the importance of value orientations in contemporary society, their classification which is determined by the socio-cultural and economic conditions; their influence on the professional development of modern youth.
