The study provides a comparative analysis of physically-based modeling methods, highlighting the finite element method (FEM), mass-spring systems, and smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH). Special attention is paid to hybrid approaches, particularly the PIC, FLIP, and APIC methods, which combine the advantages of both particle-based and grid-based techniques.
