Abstract

Various approaches are used to monitor the operability of a hydrogenerator. A special task is to detect radial runout of the hydrogenerator rotor during its operation. It is proposed to use a line of infrared sensors along the hydrogenerator rotor, the signals from which along the outer contour of the rotor indicate the presence of radial runout. A mathematical model and structure of a device for estimating radial runout of a hydrogenerator rotor have been developed.
