Abstract

The proposed device for testing the service life of a high-voltage air switch contains a current transducer, a pressure transducer, a commutation detector, a service life counter, a mechanical operation time meter, a unit for linearizing the transfer characteristic of the current transducer, and an analog-to-digital converter for the output signal of the current transducer. The operation currernt of the switch and the pressure of compressed air are considered when determining the service life of the switch.
