Abstract

In the context of reducing the volume of production of organic coatings and the transition to the use of water-soluble film-formers, the use of environmentally safe silicate paint materials containing disperse low-base calcium silicate hydrate 0,8CaO·SiO2·nH2O has been offered. This material has a high specific surface, high brightness and can be used as white pigment in the water-soluble paint materials. This filler obtained in an unstable submicrocrystalline state actively influences the physical and mechanical properties of the coating as exhibits the properties of contact- condensation hardening binders.
