Abstract

The paper criticized the standards of modern Ukrainian historico-philosophical education that do not give students the skills needed to make discoveries in the field of the history of philosophy. For example, the discovery of the key role of skeptical certainty (not of skeptical doubt, as is commonly believed) in the First and Second Meditations, the author proves the need for a radical modernization of some historico-philosophical educational standards in Ukraine, specifically (a) in respect of language training; (b) relatively the acquirement of contemporary methods in the field of textual criticism; (c) concerning to use of the international scholar publication.
