Abstract

The compiled dictionary of the Podillia dialects is a reflection of the main lexical part of one of the most interesting Volyn-Podilsky group of dialects of the south-western dialect of the Ukrainian language. It does not cover all the vocabulary that functions in Podillia dialects, but only provides a selection of traditional dialectal vocabulary that has not been included in the basic vocabulary of contemporary Ukrainian literary language. The dictionary has the following structure: introductory remarks to the dictionary, the "Dictionary of the Podillia dialect", used in the dictionary conditional abbreviations, a list of settlement names in which the vocabulary was recorded. For this period, the completed dictionary has 1000 words recorded in more than 100 settlements of Vinnytsia .
