The possibilities of using portable electromagnetic metal detectors to detect metal fragments in the
body of the wounded during primary express diagnostics have become a key direction of modern
primary diagnostics, opening up new prospects for the use of such devices for express diagnostics in
extreme field conditions. This publication analyzes the main characteristics and advantages of such
electromagnetic devices, their effectiveness in field conditions and the possibility of rapid detection of
foreign metal objects. The importance of using portable metal detectors to reduce the risks of
complications and accelerate the provision of medical care is noted. The results of the study confirm
the feasibility of introducing these devices into the practice of military and emergency medicine. The
conclusions of the article can identify new prospects for medical technologies and support the further
introduction of such portable electromagnetic devices in medical practice.
