Abstract

The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the essence of passenger transportation quality as a multi-component socio-economic category, which is formed under the influence of organizational, technical, operational and service factors. The main approaches to interpreting the concept of passenger transportation quality in domestic and foreign scientific research are considered. The criteria and indicators of passenger transportation quality are systematized, in particular the level of safety, regularity and punctuality of traffic, technical condition of vehicles, comfort of transportation conditions, professional training of personnel and the level of passenger service. The definition of these criteria and indicators makes it possible to formulate justified and measurable requirements for the organization of passenger transportation, which creates the prerequisites for their practical application in the activities of carriers. The expediency of fixing generalized quality indicators in regulatory legal acts is substantiated in order to increase the effectiveness of state regulation, ensure the protection of passenger rights and increase the competitiveness of transport services.
