Abstract

The purpose of the master's thesis is to increase the bandwidth of wireless networks of the IEEE 802.11 standard. In accordance with the purpose of the work, the following tasks were set: 1. Carry out analytical modeling of the process of functioning of the wireless network of the IEEE 802.11 standard. 2. To develop a set of algorithms for setting the channel layer parameters of the wireless network of the IEEE 802.11 standard. 3. Carry out simulation computer simulation of the IEEE 802.11 wireless network in the unsaturated state, with an assessment of its performance. To solve these problems, the thesis is structurally divided into five sections. The first section is devoted to the analysis of the main parameters and characteristics of IEEE 802.11 networks. The second section evaluates the performance of the channel layer of the network. In the third section the algorithm of adjustment of parameters of channel level of a network is developed. In the fourth modification of the algorithm of distributed access to the data transmission medium is carried out. The fifth section simulates the proposed algorithms. In the master's qualification work, modified algorithms for increasing the bandwidth of IEEE 802.11 networks have been developed.
