Анотація
The paper analyzes the principle of operation of quantum computers and the role of the qubit as the basic unit of quantum information. The physical nature of qubits, the phenomena of superposition and quantum entanglement are considered. Mathematical relations describing the qubit state and measurement probabilities are explained in detail.
