Thus, the main features of two approaches to the formation of the model of illumination of anisotropic surfaces are determined. The Ashikhmin-Shirley model as a micro-faceted approach and the KMBK function as a wave approach to the formation of visually realistic images of objects with rough surfaces are analyzed.
