Abstract

The mathematical models, allowing to carry out the complex analysis of efficiency of work of combined receivers are investigated: - system with cold reserve - a hybrid system, which includes an atmospheric optical communication line and a reserve radio channel operating under the control of IEEE 802.11n protocol. The developed model allows to evaluate the following characteristics of the system with a cold reserve: the distribution of system time between modes, the average length of the queue when working in each mode and at any time, the average time of the application in the system. Hot-reserve systems - a hybrid system that consists of an atmospheric optical link and a reserve channel of a millimeter-wavelength range of radio waves. The mathematical model allows us to evaluate the following characteristics of a hybrid system with hot reserves: the share of each device (in relation to the total number of served applications), the average number of applications served by each of the devices, the average queue length, the average waiting time in the system. The package of applications considered allows to model the dependence of these characteristics of the hybrid system with a cold and hot reserve on the following parameters: the intensity of the input flow of applications; the duration of switching between modes, the individual characteristics of individual communication channels are included in the hybrid system.
