Abstract

The dissertation is aimed at the solving of the actual problem of efficiency increasing of the geometrical parameters estimation on the US images of gall bladder by developing new image post-processing algorithms for gall bladder diagnostics. An adaptive filter of speckle noise and the seg-mentation method based on the local statistics of histograms are presented in the research. Filter, based on the proposed method effectively reduces speckle noise and preserves small features that are useful. Modeling of the proposed filtering method was conducted. As a result, total effective-ness was increased in 1,2…1,9 times, according to the proposed effectiveness criteria. The gall bladder image segmentation method, based on the local histogram analysis was inhanced. Seg-mented images have relatively simple shape form and have no holes and discontinuities. The total effectiveness was increased according to the suggested effectiveness criteria in 1,1..1,9 times, com-pared with the known methods. Semiautomatic device and special software for gall bladder diagnostics on the US images are developed.
