Abstract

The proposed device for noninvasive optical analysis of biomedical materials contains a source and a receiver of monochromatic optical radiation, a device for recording signal parameters, a photometer, and a fiber-optic lightguide connecting the optical radiation source output with the photometer input. The photometer contains an integrating spherical chamber with inside surface coated with a reference light-reflecting material. The input opening of the photometer chamber is arranged in line with a service opening. The centerline of the output opening of the photometer chamber is perpendicular to the common centerline of the input opening and service opening and crosses this centerline at the center of the chamber. Into the output opening of the photometer chamber, the optical radiation receiver is installed, the output of which is electrically connected to the output of the recording device. Additionally, the proposed device contains the second photometer that is identical to the first photometer and contains an optical radiation receiver installed into the output opening of the second photometer chamber and connected electrically to the recording device, and the second fiber-optic lightguide for connecting the optical radiation source with the output opening of the second photometer chamber. The service openings of the first and second photometer chambers are provided with plug-in covers, the inside surfaces of which are coated with the same reference light-reflecting material as the chamber surfaces. The proposed device contains a microprocessor controller for preprocessing data and for interactively controlling the monochromatic optical radiation source. The microprocessor controller is connected to the personal computer with the special software for processing signal spectrum data as well as the problem-oriented expert system software.
