Abstract

In the systems of biodesulfurization, various filtering loads and substrates are used to immobilize microorganisms, which contributes to an increase in the productivity of the system in terms of biomass with an increase in the purity of sulfur-containing waste gases from sulfur compounds. Thus, artificial immobilization of microorganisms intensifies the processes of bioconversion, prolongs the life of microorganisms in the working zone of the biofilter, stabilizes the enzymatic activity of cells, expanding the pH and temperature optimum.
