Abstract

The scientific work have been described the design of asymmetric bridge structures on highways of various purposes, have been summarized information about the causes of asymmetry of the structure and structural features of bridges, its advantages and disadvantages in comparison with classic symmetrical bridge structures. On the example of a real asymmetric bridge built across the Sib River in the Lypovets town in Vinnytsia region. Have been described typical defects and damages that occurred on the structure, have been summarized the engineering experience of long-term operation of the bridge, and have been suggested the rational method of bringing the bridge into working order
