The research objective is in clarifying of competition essence on the modern stage through discovering of its content and action forms. There had been determined, that competition essence acts through rivalry as key principle for achievement private interests in economy. Emphasized that forms multiformity of competition action and its functions affirms, that is complex multistage multistage system (creation), where rivalry in achievement private interests acquired different forms and realized by different means and dependent on level of competition system.
