Abstract

A method of working cylindrical components by surface plastic deformation, at which a component is preliminarily loaded creating elastic compressive strain along its axis, and rotated, and to the tool effort of surface plastic deformation is applied normally to the workable surface, and displaced along the axis of component, in the case the tool is selected with a spherical working part. During working the relative position of rollers is determined by the conditions for minimum use of a resource of plasticity due to optimum progress of shear strain under conditions of uniform compression in a cell of deformation, moreover the working elements of tool are located at an angle of 45°±30' to the vertical plane of symmetry, which passes through the axis of component.
