Abstract

The essence of blockchain technology is considered and the level of interest of companies’ executives in the implementation of blockchain in business processes is established. The main shortcomings of the technology and obstacles in its implementation for companies are described. The characteristic of the smart contract in its use for realization of foreign economic activity, based on blockchain technology, is given. The general structure of the process of smart contract formation in international relations is shown. The advantages of a smart contract over a traditional contract are substantiated.
