Abstract

The article presents an improved method for assessing enterprise asset criticality to enhance the accuracy of cyber risk evaluation. Unlike traditional approaches, the proposed method incorporates weighting coefficients that reflect the specific characteristics of each asset. The methodology quantifies asset criticality by combining expert assessments across multiple criteria, including business impact, dependency, recoverability, and threat probability. Testing demonstrates a 32% improvement in assessment accuracy, validating the approach’s effectiveness. This advancement supports enterprises in making more informed decisions regarding risk management and asset protection.
