Abstract

Air pollution consists of chemicals or particles in the air that can harm the health of people, animals, and plants. It also damages buildings. Atmospheric air pollution affects global warming. The analysis of the current situation of bringing domestic environmental protection practices for the protection of atmospheric air into compliance with EU standards proves that the complexity of the problem and the lack of developed mechanisms for regulating the ecological state of atmospheric air, which would ensure its predicted quality and compliance with environmental protection standards, creates obstacles to the prospect of harmonization of environmental protection legislation.
