Abstract

Strategies for reducing the volume of waste, its processing, use for energy production, as well as the impact of solid household waste on human health and ecosystems were studied. The possibilities of introducing new technologies and policies to reduce the impact of solid waste on the environment and to create sustainable and environmentally friendly ways of managing them are also analyzed.
