Abstract

The article discusses the role of emotional intelligence in the professional activities of medical professionals, in particular, its impact on the effectiveness of interaction with patients, teamwork and the ability to manage stress. In modern conditions, when the profession of a healthcare professional is accompanied by a high emotional load, the development of emotional intelligence becomes an important tool for maintaining psycho-emotional balance and ensuring high quality of medical services. The importance of emotional intelligence is manifested in the ability of professionals to recognise, understand and manage their own emotions, as well as to respond empathetically to the emotions of patients and colleagues. This helps to strengthen the therapeutic alliance, improve communication, resolve conflicts, and create a harmonious environment for treatment. Particular attention is paid to reducing the risk of professional burnout, which is an urgent problem for healthcare professionals due to high levels of stress
